Samuel Noury for FACT: “FACT welcomed Safran Aircraft Engines teams to l’Union site (near Toulouse) as part of the VOLTAYRE project. We were able to show Safran Aircraft Engines the equipment, the test bench and FACT’s facilities. Furthermore, we reported on the progress of the oil metering valve tests and Safran witnessed several operating points of the equipment. “

Sébastien Oriol for Safran Aircraft Engines: “After an adjustment and fine-tuning phase, the valve operates well and is as expected in both a steady and transient condition. The test bench is very impressive with optimized performances to test all the operating points of the valve. These initial results point to a great success of the TRL5 milestone at the end of the project, once the qualification tests are performed. »

The VOLTAYRE project has been notified as part of the Clean Sky 2 calls for projects; it contributes to Safran Aircraft Engines’ maturation work in the ITD Engines.

The project leading to this application has received funding from the Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 831911.
